If you are planning a visit to Hong Kong be sure to stop by a place where you can find some reading material and cuddle some cats. The Sam Kee Book Company in North Point has become a haven for these animals after its owner started taking in cats that wandered the streets around the shop.

The cats are given food, water, toys, beds, cat towers and tons of affection while acting as some of the cutest book ends you will ever see.

This unofficial cat sanctuary even has a wall with photos of cats who have been permanently adopted by the bookstore.

It wouldn’t be complete without the mandatory cat figurines and decorations however, I think it’s the real kitties that sit in your lap or assist in choosing a good book that are the main attraction.
