Love your cat? Love pictures of your cat? Now you can show the world that love and spread it around with Purina Pro Plan’s social media campaign – My Great Cat.

From now until August 31, 2014 every time you share a photo or video of your cat on social media Purina will donate a pound of food to one of the many feline rescue groups across the US via their Rally to Rescue network. I didn’t see any reference to Canada with this campaign, but it doesn’t hurt to share the love with our feline neighbors to the south.

What to do

• Upload an image, video or story to your Twitter, Instagram or Vine with the #MyGreatCat + @ProPlanCat
• Post an image or story to the Pro Plan Cat Facebook page with #MyGreatCat
• Tweet from the #MyGreatCat page

Share the image and tell the world why your cat is awesome, I guarantee that will be the easy part, choosing from the many images stored on your phone or laptop might be slightly more difficult.
